According to Muhyiddin, the MACC did not discover any evidence to support any of the allegations made against him, including the Jana Wibawa project and Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhari's tax cancellation petition.
In response to the tax cancellation request from the Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary-sponsored AlBukhary Foundation, Muhyiddin said that he did not give any directives in this regard while he was in charge of the national government. Instead, he clarified, the Ministry of Finance and the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) made the choice to take into account Syed Mokhtar's appeal.
Muhyiddin asserts that he never handed orders to the Ministry of Finance or exercised any influence on its decisions.
As what is recently announced, Muhyiddin is currently facing six charges of corruption, which he pleads not guilty.
