Recent reports have shed light on the case of a 38-year-old man who was found to have sustained injuries all over his body. Currently receiving treatment at a government hospital, as confirmed by Nilai police chief Supt Abdul Malik Hasim, the victim's plight came to attention when his sister-in-law filed a report on Tuesday.
Initial investigations by authorities revealed that the victim had been subjected to assaults since his admission to the drug rehabilitation center three months ago. Sent there by his parents for treatment, the assailants responsible for the attacks were identified as volunteer workers aged 25 and 48.
Both individuals have since been arrested for further investigation into the matter.
