Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on March 23 announced that Employees Provident Fund (EPF) members can apply to withdraw up to RM 500 from their i-Lestari Account 2 every month for a maximum period of 12 months to ease the burden of Malaysians who are financially affected during the Covid-19 pandemic. The measure is expected to benefit over 12 million EPF members.
The Withdrawal Scheme is open for application starting April 1, and the savings will be deposited into each eligible member’s bank account from May 1. Let’s find out if you are qualified to apply and how to do it.
WHO CAN APPLY?
You are eligible to apply if you are:
(A) Malaysian Citizen and Permanent Resident
(B) Under the age of 55
(C) Have savings in Account 2
(D) Non-Malaysian Citizen (Phase 2)
HOW TO APPLY?
There are 3 channels to apply for the RM 500 monthly payment, but you only need to submit the form ONCE via ONE of these channels.
1. Via i-Akaun
Log in to your i-Akaun > Withdrawal (e-Pengeluaran) > fill the application form.
2. By e-mail
Download and fill the application form uploaded by KWSP, then e-mail it to [email protected]
