An Indonesian maid in Kepong, Malaysia, bravely sought assistance after alleging that she was a victim of assault and rape by her employer. The distressing incident unfolded around 3 PM last Friday when the 29-year-old woman stood at her employer's condo unit's gate, observing a few workers from a logistics company moving items into a neighboring residence. After mustering the courage, she reached out to one of the workers for help and contacted the authorities.

Hafis, a 33-year-old delivery worker who only wanted to be known as Hafis, was in the midst of relocating residents' belongings to the same condominium unit when he noticed the woman standing by, closely watching the movers. She eventually called out to Hafis, pleading for him to contact the police. She confided that her employer had allegedly subjected her to physical abuse with an iron rod and had sexually taken advantage of her.

Hafis noticed visible bruises on the woman's body, further confirming her distressing situation. Compassionate and sympathetic, he immediately contacted the police and provided his contact details to the woman. The police subsequently requested Hafis to visit the station to file a report.

Following Hafis's police report, law enforcement officers swiftly conducted a raid at the woman's residence, successfully rescuing her from her dire circumstances. It is believed that the victim endured sexual assault by her employer around August, and she is presently undergoing additional medical examinations.

Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan, Deputy Director of Bukit Aman's Sexual, Women, and Children Investigations Division (D11), confirmed the incident's authenticity. The investigation into the matter is being conducted under Section 376 of the Penal Code. 

Authorities have apprehended her employer to assist in the ongoing investigation and reported to be charged tomorrow.
