Elya Sudirman, 50, and her husband, Mohamad Aizat Aiman Halim, 27, unexpectedly found love through a brief encounter on the TikTok app, as revealed in an interview with Sinar Harian.

After Elya's first marriage ended in divorce, she had little hope of finding love again. However, fate intervened, and she and Mohamad tied the knot last year when she was 49 and he was 26.

Their serendipitous meeting on TikTok led to their union on November 12, 2023, in Pontian, Johor. Despite initial family concerns about their significant age difference, both Elya and Mohamad's families eventually embraced their relationship wholeheartedly.

Elya's family, particularly her brother, initially had reservations about the marriage due to the age gap. However, Mohamad's sincere efforts to win their approval, including traveling from Kedah to Johor, convinced them of his commitment.

Similarly, Mohamad's family welcomed Elya with open arms, accepting her without hesitation. Moreover, Elya's four children from her previous marriage fully supported her decision to marry Mohamad.

Currently residing in Sik, Kedah, with Mohamad's family, Elya cherishes the mutual trust and compromise that defines their nearly year-long marriage. She emphasizes the importance of honesty in their relationship, encouraging open communication to address any issues promptly.

Despite initially sharing their wedding story on TikTok months ago, Elya was surprised by its recent resurgence in popularity. She appreciates the positive reactions from netizens and remains unperturbed by any varying responses, embracing them with an open heart.
