KLUANG: A security guard who was reported missing after coming across a thief at an oil palm plantation, here, yesterday, was found lying on the side of the road near Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Dato 'Haji Hassan Yunos, Renggam, last night.
His uncle, Adanan Baharudin, 61, said Muhammad Shahrizuan Pairon, 22, was found in a weak condition by the victim's father, Pairon Baharudin, 56, at about 11.30pm.
Thankful that his nephew was safe, he said, Muhammad Shahrizuan was found by Pairon while passing through the road which is located about 12 kilometers from the location of the victim who was reported missing.
“My brother along with his family, including his wife and son got into a car and rode a motorcycle to the location that Muhammad Shahrizuan was reported missing.
"Arriving at the road next to the railway, my sister seemed to notice someone on the side of the road.
"Pairon's heart told him to turn back, and true enough, it was his son was lying down at the roadside. When asked what happened, Muhammad Shahrizuan was dizzy and said that throughout the period he was reported missing, his vision was as dark as night.
"He also remembered that during the incident yesterday, there was a truck trying to escape at the gate and he chased it.
"However, once at a junction, the lorry disappeared and he tried to turn back to his workplace, butcould not see a way out," he told BH, today.
Adanan said, what surprised their family was that during the period of his nephew's disappearance, Muhammad Shahrizuan's mobile phone battery and motorcycle oil were found to still have a lot left.
"When found, the words that came out of Muhammad Shahrizuan's mouth were that he was hungry and wanted to rest," he said.
He also thanked all those who helped the search and rescue mission for his nephew.
Earlier, Muhammad Shahrizuan was reported missing after witnessing someone stealing some oil palm bunches at a plantation in Layang-Layang, here, yesterday.
Adanan was quoted as saying that Muhammad Shahrizuan managed to report the incident via WhatsApp of his work group at 7.22 pm.
He said he was informed that two colleagues of Muhammad Shahrizuan then rushed to the location and found the fence damaged, but the fence bar was closed.
What really happened to Muhammad Shahrizuan when he was missing? If he still had his motorbike and phone with him, why didn’t he ride back to his workplace or why didn’t he call someone to help him? Why can’t he remember anything that had happened?
