In a major development regarding the ongoing investigation into alleged funds misappropriation within Aman Palestin Berhad, graft investigators seized four gold bars during a series of raids. The gold bars, weighing a kilogram each and of Grade 999.9, were among the items confiscated in the operation.
Raiding teams, during the November 24th operation, targeted five locations, including Aman Palestin's office, uncovering crucial evidence. Apart from the gold bars, investigators seized three laptops and four mobile phones during the raids, as sources revealed.
Further intensifying the probe, individuals have been summoned to provide their statements, as investigators delve deeper into the case. Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed these developments, citing that 11 individuals had been summoned for questioning.
Azam Baki expressed satisfaction with the progress of the investigation without disclosing specific details. However, the MACC's recent actions come after freezing over RM25 million in 42 bank accounts linked to Aman Palestin following investigations into alleged misuse of public donations.
Amidst these revelations, Malaysians have expressed condemnation toward Aman Palestin's social media personnel for allegedly continuing donation requests online despite the widespread news coverage of the corruption allegations.
