The Health Director-General, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, shared an article from The Johns Hopkins University, titled, "ASYMPTOMATIC SPREAD MAKES COVID-19 TOUGH TO CONTAIN" in his Facebook page, while expressing that "asymptomatic spread has not been good news thus far."
Dr. Noor Hisham mentioned in his caption that asymptomatic patient carries the same amount of virus as those who showed symptoms. Asymptomatic patient, too, has the ability to spread the virus and this might allow a lot more community to be infected, as reported in Sin Chew Daily.

He explained that asymptomatic spread is uncommon for a virus and it is a bad sign. This indicates that the COVID-19 is much harder to contain as compared to other viruses.
The asymptomatic spread is much more dangerous than symptomatic spread as the patient's own self too has no idea that he or she is sick and contagious. And this is also why netizens have been commenting on Dr. Noor Hisham's post about making wearing a face mask in the public as a MUST for Malaysians to obey.
Netizens have been urging the government to make wearing a face mask while you're outdoor a policy for fighting COVID-19 while expressing the importance of wearing face masks.
