ICYMI: WATCH: Ailing Taxi Driver's Dedication To Duty Leaves Netizens Concerned

A man who sent a thoughtful message to a Grab delivery rider to keep safe received praise from netizens, inspiring others to show kindness to delivery riders.

Facebook user 'Agent Ren' shared a heartwarming conversation he had with a Grab rider, expressing his concern for the safety and well-being of delivery riders. In his post, he mentioned how he often gave words of advice and encouragement to riders regardless of their race and religion, with the intention of ensuring riders' safety on the roads and to remind them of the importance of valuing their own lives.

"I'm not claiming to be a saint. But every time I order GrabFood, I will give advice like this (to the riders), regardless of their race and religion. I'm not wealthy enough to give large tips (but) it's okay if my food arrives late, as long as the rider is safe," the caption read. He also encouraged riders to keep their loved ones in mind.

Accompanying the post was an image of a conversation between him and a Grab delivery rider. His message to the rider was simple yet profound.

"Be careful riding (your motorcycle) and don't run red lights and I'll give you a tip," his message read. The rider responded with gratitude, wishing 'Agent Ren' abundant blessings, prosperity, and good health.

'Agent Ren' signed off with a heartfelt message, "Ride safe."

Netizens were quick to respond to his thoughtful act, sharing their own experiences of reaching out to riders in a similar manner.

Norzihan Izhar shared how she once advised a rider to wait for train to subside before delivering her order, saying, "I once texted a rider, telling him not to rush and to wait because as soon as I placed my order, there was a downpour. In less than 10 minutes, the rider arrived in the heavy rain. My order was RM21 but I gave him RM30 and told him to keep the change (because) I appreciated his effort."

"I also text them (riders) like this sometimes, especially when it's raining. I will tell them to wait for the rain to subside before they start (their delivery journey)," said SN Aisyah.

"I agree, I do the same thing. If the rider calls or informs me (that it is raining) before the delivery, I always tell them to take care and not rush. I'll be fine as long as the food arrives," said Adeline Shafiqa.

Others expressed their appreciation for the effort 'Agent Ren' put into making the rider feel valued and cared for.

"Alhamdulillah, if all customers are like this, all the riders would be happy," said Erne Rahman.

Ridzuan Rozi, a rider himself, commended his action, stating, "You are the best, brother. As riders, we are happy when we receive messages like this from customers."

"Bravo sir," said Tvz Nvilvh.

The post shared last Tuesday (June 27) has garnered over 7,000 likes, 263 comments and 279 shares to date.
