A man who endured a horrific incident in which his own wife severed his genitals has not only chosen to forgive her but also expressed a desire to reconcile with her.
The distressing incident unfolded in Kota Solo, Central Java, where a 20-year-old man known as IPN had initially sought a divorce from his 34-year-old wife, YC. The incident, which has garnered significant attention, took place at a hotel in the Jebres area.
In an unexpected twist, the victim has now expressed the intention to reconcile with his wife, indicating his willingness to rebuild their relationship despite the profound trauma he endured. IPN has even requested the court to drop the criminal charges that were filed against YC.
According to reports from TribunSolo, IPN communicated this heartfelt decision to the prosecutor, Rahayu Nur Raharsi, who stated, "Just last Saturday, the victim contacted me, and he had a change of heart. What's important now is that he knows best what he needs."
In his request, IPN emphasized his ongoing need for medical treatment and the absence of family support. His written plea contained poignant words: "Mom, I still need treatment. Next year, I still need someone to care for me. I also don't have any family here, so where else should I stay?"
Remarkably, this decision emerged from the depths of IPN's own heart, with no external influence, coercion, or persuasion involved. The sincerity of his choice was highlighted by Rahayu, who emphasized that "No one taught, no one forced, no one influenced him. It's purely from his own heart."
The courtroom bore witness to a poignant moment when the victim, after reading his request aloud, was approached by his wife, YC. Overwhelmed with emotion, YC could not contain her tears upon hearing her husband's words.
