According to her, the meal was bought at around 7 PM. However, upon arriving home, she was appalled to find that the rice was sticky and slimy, clear signs that it had already gone bad. The meal, she said, was intended for her child.
"I was shocked. The rice was clearly spoiled, but the fried chicken was still fine and could be eaten," she said in the video.
Visibly frustrated, she questioned the vendor's lack of responsibility for not checking the food's quality before selling it to customers. She described the act as irresponsible and a betrayal of trust.
"What kind of vendor sells like this? Don't be treacherous, there's no blessing in that, you know," she added.
The video quickly caught the attention of social media users, many of whom took to the comments section to voice their own dissatisfaction. Several users criticized the vendor for being careless with food safety and urged traders to be more mindful of the products they sell, especially when it comes to food.
Others also raised concerns about the ethical responsibility of vendors in ensuring customer satisfaction and reminded that any income earned should come from honest and clean business practices.
The incident has sparked a wider conversation online about food hygiene and the importance of quality control at local markets.
