Emergency medical technician (EMT), John Mondello, aged 23, killed himself after working at COVID-19's hotspots for less than 3 months, as reported in New York Post.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the deceased mentioned that he was struggling to cope with the COVID-19 infected patients, especially when he failed to save their lives.
“He told me he was experiencing a lot of anxiety witnessing a lot of death, he’d feel it was a heavy experience when he’d fail to save a life,” one of his colleagues mentioned in the report.
John committed suicide using a gun, that is registered to his father, who is a retired policeman. This incident happened last Friday (April 24).
The deceased was described as a person with a good personality and broad-minded by one of his relatives. His family members were devastated upon hearing this bad news.
