An incident involving a young girl in Sarawak has triggered public backlash, following a viral video of her being left unattended inside a locked car.
According to a video shared by user @John.soo on social media, there was a commotion at the Mydin Samariang parking lot after a few passers-by had noticed her sleeping in the backseat of a Perodua Viva.
Concerned by her wellbeing, the crowd attempted to unlock the door as temperatures began to rise.
Moments later, a woman was seen walking over to the car, leading a man to question her relationship with the girl.
It’s believed that the woman in question isn’t the girl’s mother, but her cousin.
Although the parents’ whereabouts were unknown, that doesn’t give the guardian a reason to leave the girl unattended.
