It was announced by the Minister of Health (MoH) on its Twitter on May 2 that the number of red zones has dropped to 8 zones as the number of COVID-19 recovered cases and active cases reduced, turning yellow and red zones into green zones.
Sin Chew Daily reported today (May 5) that the Petaling District, Selangor has turned from yellow zone to red zone, causing the number of red zones increased from 8 to 9 zones currently. Meanwhile, Penang has become the 5th state to declare GREEN after all COVID-19 active cases have recovered and discharged from the hospital.

Other than that, the number of green zones too increased from 86 to 111, while yellow zones increased from 62 to 80.
These red zones are Petaling District (52 cases), Hulu Langat District (47 cases), Gombak District (94 cases), Batu District (71 cases), Kampung Baru District (67 cases), Ibu Kota (156 cases), Sri Petaling (48 cases), Kluang (64 cases), Seremban (45 cases), Kuching (115 cases), Kota Samarahan (46 cases).
