It has come to the sixth day of the Movement Control Order (MCO). It was announced earlier that the army will be joining the force in order to make sure that every Malaysian follow the rules and stay at home.
Although it has been mentioned that you may leave your house if you have to do grocery shopping or go to the market to get food or 'tabao', some Malaysians took it for granted and wandered the street, as usual, thus making the government has no choice but to employ police and roadblocks to make sure that nobody leaves the house without a proper reason.
The roadblocks were set at the entrances of both the Penang bridge and the second bridge. People who do not have any proper documentation or valid reasons for crossing the bridge will be denied the request and will be sent home.
So here are some reasons for crossing the Penang bridge that was reported by China Press, let us see how creative can Penangites be!
1. An aunty saying that she wants to cross the bridge to buy hair shampoo. However, the police rebuked her for giving excuses after they found a basket full of hair shampoos.
2. A man driving from Bayan Baru to Georgetown to get his favorite food. Police have advised him not to do it again.
It's sad that he can't get his favorite food :(
3. A 50-year-old man wanted to cross the bridge as he wanted to have his dinner at Seberang Perai. Police have requested him to have his dinner at Penang Island.
Uncle is trying to get his dinner but cannot :(
4. A man who wanted to do his grocery shopping at a market at Bukit Mertajam. Police have advised him to do his shopping in Penang Island.
Food at Bukit Mertajam better?
Isn't it kinda funny to see all sorts of excuses people gave just to violate the MCO?
When the PM asked you to stay at home, you stay at home lah!
