Expressing his disappointment over the individual's actions, Anwar took to Twitter to address the issue. In a tweet from his official account, he stated, "I strongly condemn and am deeply upset by the disrespectful remarks made by Zaki Yamani, and I order him to apologize immediately." The individual in question, had posted a tweet expressing hope for Hadi's life to end following reports of his deteriorating health. It was later discovered that similar comments were made about former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The news about Abdul Hadi's declining health was first conveyed to the public by his son, Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi, through a Facebook post. Reports indicate that Abdul Hadi is currently receiving treatment in a hospital, and his health has been a cause for concern.
