In a recent incident that has taken social media by storm, a woman recently visited a bubble tea shop in Bayan Lepas, Penang, and created a scene after refusing to pay for her order. The incident unfolded when the lady placed an order for a milk tea but insisted that she would only pay after the beverage was made and she would transfer the money directly to the owner. The employee promptly refused to comply.
In an attempt to resolve the situation, the employee immediately contacted the owner to seek guidance since the owner was not present at the time. However, the customer, growing increasingly irate, began shouting and demanding to speak with the owner directly. To everyone's dismay, the situation escalated as the customer resorted to violence, throwing menus and even knocking over the shop's menu boards.
Thankfully, the shop manager was quick to respond to the chaos. Refusing to tolerate such unruly behaviour, the manager firmly stood their ground, asserting that respect must be mutual. The manager made it clear that payment was non-negotiable and emphasized the importance of fair business practices.
To everyone's astonishment, the customer went even further by attempting to take money from the tip jar, which further highlighted her disregard for basic principles of decency. It appeared that she had visited the establishment multiple times and was attempting to establish a familiar relationship to exploit the situation.

Despite the customer's threats to bring in her "backup", whom she called "Tomato," the shop's management remained unfazed. They made it clear that the shop's primary objective was to conduct legitimate business and not to entertain unruly behaviour. The staff firmly rejected the customer's attempts to intimidate them and reaffirmed that the shop was not a place for such misconduct.
The incident was shared on the shop's Facebook page, rapidly gaining viral attention. The page administrator further reinforced the narrative by commenting that two other shops in the vicinity had encountered the same lady and urged others to remain vigilant.
