Nur Malina Mohd Rozani, a 24-year-old kindergarten teacher, was set to marry Shahrizuan Shukri on June 30th. Tragically, Shahrizuan lost his life to a drowning accident in the Pasir Pekan river, Kelantan, on May 25th.
However, fate had something unexpected in store for Nur Malina. On September 8th, she found solace and happiness as she married Shahrizuan's brother, 32-year-old Shahron Shukri.
The decision for this unique union was initiated by her late fiancé's parents, who proposed that she marry their other son. Nur Malina and Shahron agreed, gradually falling in love after their marriage.
Reflecting on her journey, Nur Malina expressed, "My story with my husband can be described as fate. It's been a beautiful journey of love because everything is according to Allah's plan and it happened so quickly. (It was) fate that was unexpected, and we met in this way."
"Because of that, after he was no longer with us, they didn't want to abandon me. So, they decided to unite me with Shahrizuan's brother. Incidentally, his brother was still single and the only one who was still unmarried," she shared with Harian Metro.
The unique aspect of their story is that Nur Malina got to know her husband after her fiancé's passing. She mentioned striking resemblances between her late fiancé and her current husband, stating that "even their names sound the same."
Nur Malina concluded by emphasizing her acceptance of her husband, Shahron, and her gratitude for Allah's plan. She expressed contentment and peace, highlighting that her late fiancé's memories have faded, and her life is now with her beloved husband.
