On a recent case, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has reportedly faced a similar fate following news of scammers posing as the government agency.
Taking to Twitter, MDEC issued a stark PSA to those who come across job offers or investment schemes alleging from them.
Be it phone calls, text messages or even fake adverts on social media, these scams have been known to lure people into thinking they're the real deal.
While the issue has been lingering for some time now, it seems that there's no end to these endless scams.
