National track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang has set a new national record while advancing to the second round of the men’s sprint event at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Velodrome.

His time was the fastest by an Asian cyclist until Hangzhou Asian Games double champion Ota Kaiya recorded a time of 9.350 seconds.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Azizulhasni Awang also shared a behind-the-scenes look at the laundry services provided at the Paris 2024 Olympic Village.

In a TikTok video posted by @azizulhasniawang, he highlighted the 12 buildings designated as laundry centres for athletes.

The laundry process is highly organized to manage the large number of athletes.

Staff at the counter first scan the QR code on the athletes’ tags, and then scan the QR code on the laundry bags to ensure the bags belong to the respective athletes.

There are three main rules for using the laundry services:

- Black and coloured clothing cannot be mixed with white clothing.

- Laundry bags must not be overpacked.

- The zipper of the bag must be securely closed to prevent clothes from falling out.

The laundry service is free for all athletes. The operation is efficient, with separate counters for dropping off and picking up clothes.

Laundry bags can be retrieved according to a set schedule, with service hours from 7 AM to 10 PM.

Clothes dropped off before 10 AM can be picked up the same day, while clothes dropped off after 10 AM are available for pick-up the next day.

Netizens have expressed their excitement and curiosity in the comments, praising the organized and efficient laundry service at the Olympic Village.
