COVID has changed the way we normally do things. Going to a crowded place like the post office or the JPJ office is a huge NO.
Besides, the much more convenient way to do literally everything is online. Thanks to COVID too, on the 9th of October 2020, JPJ announced that the public can finally skip the crowds, the lines, and the long waiting times by just renewing their driving license online.
So, here is a step-by-step guide on how to renew your driver’s license online:
1. Go to the MyEG website and click on the Renew Driving License option.
2. You will be taken to the page below, once again click on Renew Driving License.
3. Then, if you have an account, log in, if not register for an account.
4. You will be taken to this page, click on Jabatan Pengangkutan Malaysia.
5. Once again, click on Driving License Renewal.
6. You will then be taken to a page explaining the CDL APPLICATION TERMS. Scroll down until you see this.
7. Fill in the information needed, click on proceed and select your payment method.
Also, make sure the photo you’re uploading follows the requirements.
Make sure all the information you filled in is correct then confirm your payment.
8. Print or save your receipt as proof.
9. MyEG will deliver your new driving license to the address you have provided.
