Yesterday, a video of a huge tanker lorry using the emergency lane to overtake a long line of cars went viral on social media.
Port Dickson District Police Chief, Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed said the incident is believed to have occurred between 2 to 4 pm, last Saturday at Kilometer 27-28 of the Seremban Port Dickson Highway.
“The tanker truck was from driving Seremban to Port Dickson and during the incident, the highway was congested with vehicles.
"The police have detected the tanker truck which uses registration number CEL 5916 which is registered in the name of a transport company with an address in Bukit Raja, Shah Alam in Selangor," he said in a statement here today.
Yesterday, a 16 -second video on Facebook showed a tanker truck cutting a line using an emergency lane.
In this regard, Aidi Sham said, his party asked the driver or owner of the vehicle to come to the Port Dickson Traffic Station for further investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code/Rule 53 (1) of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
