Good news for durian enthusiasts in Singapore! Kaki Kaki, a local durian seller with over a decade of experience, is introducing a new and convenient way to enjoy their favorite fruit. A vending machine stocked with premium Mao Shan Wang durians will soon be available at Tampines MRT station, promising both quality and accessibility.
Each box from the vending machine contains 400g of hand-picked Mao Shan Wang durians, typically priced at S$38 (RM125). To celebrate the launch, Kaki Kaki is offering a promotional price of just S$18.88 (RM62) per box from January 24 to February 12.
The vending machines will be restocked daily, ensuring freshness. Any unsold durians won't go to waste they'll be turned into durian puree and used for cakes and other desserts.
Kaki Kaki's co-founder, C.Y. Wong, emphasized the company's commitment to maintaining quality and precision.
"The vending machines allow us to streamline operations while ensuring every durian is handled with care, precision, and consistency to maintain the highest quality," he explained.
To keep prices competitive, Kaki Kaki works directly with durian farmers in Malaysia, cutting out middlemen and buying in bulk. Efficient operations and reduced manpower costs further enable the company to offer high-quality durians at accessible prices.
This isn't Kaki Kaki's first foray into vending machines. In December 2024, the company introduced similar machines in condominiums such as Parc Oasis in Jurong East, Casa Merah in Tanah Merah, and Skypark Residences in Sembawang. Besides the vending machines, Kaki Kaki also operates a stall at Tiong Bahru Market.
With the Tampines MRT vending machine, durian lovers can look forward to enjoying fresh, high-quality Mao Shan Wang with greater convenience. Mark your calendars and don't miss the special promotion!
