GUA MUSANG – Unrequited love and jealously caused a man to murder a Thai single mother and dump her half naked body in a drain by Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Berang, here, last week.
District Police Chief, Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said, as a result of the efficiency of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Gua Musang District Police Headquarters (IPD), they arrested the 24 -year -old suspect, a day after the victim's body was found.
He said that during interrogation, the suspect admitted to harboring feelings of love for the victim, even though the woman was 20 years older than him.
"At about 12 noon last Tuesday, the victim was believed to have been strangled and beaten with an iron hammer on the forehead by the suspect at his family's restaurant.
"After finding the victim lifeless, the suspect dragged the victim into the bonnet of the car before dumping her body in a drain, about six kilometers from an oil palm plantation," he said when met by reporters while visiting the scene at Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Berang, here. today.
Choon Foo added that police also found the victim's slippers and handbag in two separate locations discarded by the suspect to remove evidence.
In the incident at about 3 pm, last Tuesday, the public was shocked by the discovery of the body of a half-naked Thai woman in a drain believed to have been killed.
A day after the discovery of the victim, Siti Padimoh Adae’s body, police arrested seven family members aged 21 to 64 who were the woman's employer in Felda Chiku to assist in the investigation.
Commenting further, Choon Foo said, the investigation into the case is almost complete with the discovery of evidence and the main suspects identified while the seven family members are still remanded until tomorrow to assist in the investigation according to Section 302 of the Penal Code.
