Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the wife of the Prime Minister, and K-Pop sensation Blackpink's Rose recently engaged in a vital mental health and AI forum during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in San Francisco.
The discussion, graced by Apple's CEO Tim Cook and US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, aimed to spotlight the emotional struggles experienced even by prominent individuals globally.
Dr. Wan Azizah emphasized the necessity of a 'human touch' in an increasingly virtual world. "Though we present perfect lives through smiles and pictures, the reality often differs," she articulated.
Acknowledging challenges faced on social media, Rose Blackpink with 75 million Instagram followers voiced her concerns about managing negative comments. "I don't think it's normal, and sometimes, keeping our feelings to ourselves isn't sufficient," she shared.

The forum delved into technology's role in safeguarding public information. Dr. Wan Azizah probed Tim Cook on Apple's measures in this regard, to which Cook assured the company's commitment to addressing such issues as fundamental human rights.
For Malaysian fans of Blackpink, this interaction surely sparked excitement among them, as no one would typically associate the two together and yet, this interaction was regarded as one of the highlights of that event by Malaysians.
