In a heartbreaking incident, a one-year-old baby girl was discovered dead, suspected to have been left in a car at a public university in Kuala Nerus. The Kuala Terengganu District Police Chief, ACP Abd Rahim Md Din, revealed that they received a report about the incident at 4:30 PM when the baby was brought to the student health center at the university.
A post-mortem was conducted at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital the same night, but the cause of death remains undetermined as laboratory analysis results are pending.
Initial investigations suggest that the baby's father inadvertently forgot to drop her off at the university's childcare center in the morning. The case is currently under investigation under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
We wish the family strength in overcoming this difficult time.
