In Melaka, Mohd Loqman Mohd Salleh, 38, hailing from Kampung Kolam Limbongan, fulfilled his wife's desire to take a second wife before their wedding ceremony held at a mosque on December 24th.
Mohd Loqman disclosed that his second wife is a longtime close friend of his first wife, emphasizing their strong and enduring friendship over the years.
While the initial idea came from his first wife, Mohd Loqman emphasized the necessity of securing her prior consent for the pursuit of polygamy.
After the solemnization ceremony, a moment unfolded as Mohd Loqman placed his hand on the heads of both his wives. Reflecting on his 12-year marriage with his first wife, he expressed contentment, noting the blessings of three children, aged between 11 and four years old.
Offering advice to men considering polygamy, Mohd Loqman stressed the importance of honesty. "My advice to men who wish to practice polygamy is to speak the truth; God willing, it will last until Jannah," he remarked during a recent conversation.
