The outbreak of COVID-19 in Malaysia is getting worse! As of March, 15, Malaysia has added another 190 confirmed cases, setting a new high in a single day. Currently, Malaysia has accumulated 428 cases of COVID-19, surpassing neighboring Singapore! Recently, an employee at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
On March 14, UTHM released its statement to confirm that one of its staff has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The identity of the infected staff has not been revealed but the infected staff has been transferred to Hospital Permai in Johor Bahru for treatment. UTHM will also take strict preventive measures and have canceled all the upcoming student activities.
As this news has spread on the Internet, the students at the school and other netizens living nearby are feeling very disturbed. The school's posts have also been circulated virally, and comments in the message area have continued to increase.
Not long ago, a female student at UOW Malaysia KDU also has infected with COVID-19, but this case is outside of the school because that female student quarantined herself since 1st March 2020.
Hopefully, the number of confirmed cases in the whole world would reduce soon.
