1. Toh Soon Café
This place is always crowded so you will need to top up your patience quota before going. You will have to stand in line for a while but trust me, it is worth it!
They have delicious local coffee and bread thats toasted in a traditional charcoal oven! They also have some pre-packed nasi lemak on their tables if you go there early.

2. Swee Kong Claypot Apom Manis @ Pulau Tikus
If you want to try their deliciously sweet, fluffy, soft and melts in your mouth apom, you have to go there early because they get sold out quick.
The unique thing about this place is that they cook the apom in clay pots and a charcoal stove!

3. Transfer Road Roti Canai
For over 40 years, Roti Canai transfer road has filled the bellies of hungry locals with its rich curries like chicken, fish, dhal and more and its signature roti canai.
You can also get a sweet and creamy teh tarik to go with your roti canai.

4. Ali Nasi Lemak
Famous for packing his delicious and flavourful nasi lemak in banana leaves, this stall always has a long line of people in front of it, so it's best to tapau!
They not only serve the traditional nasi lemak with sambal ikan bilis, but they also have squid, prawn, fish and salted fish. Sambal fans, don’t worry, they give you a lot of sambal!

5. Maxim Dim Sum
They serve the staple Chinese cuisine breakfast, dim sum. You can go there to eat their noodles too, but their specialty is definitely the dim sum.
They have a huge variety of options you can choose from so don’t worry; your favourites are definitely on the menu.

This kopitiam in Penang serves all the local favourite noodles from curry mee to char kuey teow. You name it they have it.
The best part? It is also muslim-friendly as all ingredients used are sourced from halal-certified suppliers and they do not serve any beef or pork!

7. Seong Huat Street Art Café
The best thing on their breakfast menu is definitely the half-boiled egg and garlic bread! You can also eat other stuff la, like kaya toast, kuey teow soup and so on.
