Authorities in Malaysia are taking action after a helicopter was observed landing in an open area in Shah Alam, with reports suggesting it was used to transport a child to school. The incident has prompted the police to file a report with the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) for further investigation.
Shah Alam's Police Chief, Iqbal Ibrahim, confirmed that the matter has been handed over to the CAAM to determine whether the helicopter operator had the necessary permit to land in the residential area on April 17th.
As of now, the police have not received any formal reports regarding the incident, according to Chief Iqbal Ibrahim's statement to FMT.
The incident came to light when a resident shared a video with FMT, showcasing the helicopter taking off from an open area adjacent to the residential locality in Shah Alam. A photograph accompanying the footage captured a child disembarking from the helicopter, with the pilot standing nearby.

The resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, claimed that the child later entered a school through the back entrance. This alleged occurrence marked the second time a helicopter had landed in the area, although the resident did not document the initial incident.
Expressing concern about the situation, the resident raised the issue with the school via Facebook on May 5th. Their intention was not only to address the helicopter matter but also to draw attention to the practice of parents parking their vehicles on the roadside within the residential area.
Following the resident's communication, the helicopter has not been seen in the vicinity since the school was made aware of the situation. Authorities are now actively investigating the incident, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
