Two 16-year-old male teens have been arrested by the police in Kuantan, Pahang to aid in an investigation regarding the possession and distribution of a video featuring a female friend of theirs taking a shower.
The Kuantan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu, confirmed that both suspects were taken into custody after providing statements related to a police report lodged by a 13-year-old girl last Friday.
According to reports, the teenage girl accused one of the suspects of having a video of her bathing and demanding RM50 for its release. Furthermore, she alleged that the video had been shared by another suspect as it was recorded during a video call they had back in May.
The investigation is currently being conducted under Section 292 of the Penal Code, which stipulates a maximum penalty of three years in prison or a fine, or both, for those found guilty of possessing explicit videos.
