It has been confirmed by the Health Director-General on his Facebook that there is another COVID-19 death case today, thus making the death toll in Malaysia rises to 21 cases.
The 21st death case is confirmed case number 1588. The deceased was a 63-year-old Malaysian with a history of chronic illness. He was also one of the attendees of the tabligh gathering in Masjid Jamek Seri Petaling.
He started to show symptoms and had had a screening for COVID-19 on March 22. He was then admitted to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar on March 23 after his result came back positive. His health condition began to deteriorate and was pronounced dead today (March 26).
