According to the report by Eunited, the Minister of Education, Dr. Mohd Radzi Md Jidin, announced in a live conference today (April 15) that the Malaysian government has decided to cancel Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and Pentafsiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) this year!

Meanwhile, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) will be postponed until the first quarter of next year (2021). It has been mentioned that the second semester of Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) will be postponed until August 2, 2020, while the following semester will be in the first quarter next year.
This indicates that the admissions to higher education institutions next year will also be postponed until July-August 2021 (Matriculation program and Diploma courses) and September-October (Bachelor courses).
The minister stressed that the question of when to resume classes will only be announced by the Ministry of Education two weeks in advance, at the decision of the Ministry of Health, after determining that the epidemic situation has indeed fully returned to normal.
