A startling incident has allegedly unfolded at the esteemed Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) in Kuala Klawang, where high school students were allegedly served rotten boiled eggs in the school's dining hall. The incident came to light when one concerned parent, Amira Alia Faizul, took to Facebook to voice her worries, and her post quickly went viral, sparking outrage.
According to Amira Alia Faizul's Facebook post, her child, a student at MRSM Kuala Klawang, had fallen ill after consuming food from the cafeteria previously, suggesting the rotten eggs incident is not an unprecedented case.
The matter did not go unnoticed by local politician Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who expressed his concern over the incident. In a response to an Instagram post highlighitng the incident, he said, "I have directed the Deputy Director General of MARA Education to take immediate and stringent actions to ensure that cases like this do not recur. There will be NO COMPROMISE with cafeteria contractors who take a lax and careless approach to student food provision. If negligence is indeed confirmed to have occurred, MARA will certainly take stern measures, including contract termination as stipulated in the agreements and regulations."
He assured the public that action is underway to investigate the situation and hold those responsible accountable. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki urged the school administration to take immediate measures to rectify the issue and ensure that the students are provided with safe and nutritious meals.
