Police are actively pursuing two suspects involved in a shooting at a coffee shop along Jalan Wong King Huo in Sibu, which left three men injured, aged between 27 and 33.
Assistant Commissioner Zulkipli Suhaili, the Sibu District Police Chief, reported that a concerned individual contacted the police at 5:41 PM, detailing an incident where two individuals wearing helmets arrived at the coffee shop at 4:55 PM on two motorcycles, firing multiple shots.
Zulkipli mentioned that one of the suspects fired shots at close range towards the victims, while the other discharged shots from an estimated distance of 20 meters. Upon initial investigation, the police found 10 9mm bullet casings within the shop's vicinity.
Subsequently, a video clip from CCTV footage capturing the incident has circulated widely across social media platforms, displaying one of the suspects fleeing on a food delivery motorcycle.

"All three injured men were promptly transported to a private medical center, where they are currently in stable condition," Zulkipli confirmed during a media briefing on Tuesday.
The first victim sustained injuries to both thighs and his right leg, while his companions were each hit on their left and right shoulders.
The police have initiated a dedicated investigative unit to scrutinize the incident under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
Zulkipli urged the public to come forward with any information regarding the case and contact Assistant Superintendent Mingat Bakil, the assigned investigating officer, at 019-8867978 or visit nearby police stations to aid in the investigation.
