Bad weather caused a large tree to fall down in Jalan Sultan Ismail, hitting 17 cars on the road.
To carry out rescue operations and clear the tree trunk, Jalan Sultan Ismail was temporarily closed, causing the road section to collapse. Traffic jam all around!
According to a post on Facebook by the Kuala Lumpur City Council Traffic Information Center (KLCCC DBKL), traffic jams have occurred along Jalan Sultan Ismail since 3 pm.
The police, fire rescue personnel and traffic police were also at the scene of the crime to maintain traffic order.
According to BFM, a 47-year-old person has been confirmed dead at the site, where the tree fell earlier today.
The Malaysian Fire & Rescue department reported that another 26-year-old victim suffered series injuries & is being treated by the paramedics.
