Here are some natural ways to get rid of your puffy eyes so that people will stop bugging you about it:
1. Chilled Spoons
Put two spoons in the fridge for a few minutes, the lie down and place the back of the spoons over your closed eyes for about ten minutes. Use this time to relax for a while.
The coldness will constrict the blood vessels, which will lead to less swelling.
2. Sliced Potatoes
Get a potato and slice it into six slices, all about a half inch in thickness. Lie down and place one slice on each eye for 10 minutes. Then, repeat the process with a fresh slice, until puffiness is reduced.
Potatoes contain the anti-inflammatory enzyme catecholase, which can improve bagginess or swelling.
3. Egg Whites
Egg whites work as a natural astringent to temporarily tighten swollen skin.
Whish two egg whites using eggs that are directly from the fridge until smooth. Then, apply to under-eye area and leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Once done, rinse off with warm water.
4. Green Tea Bags
Green tea is always good for your skin. Besides being packed with antioxidants, it also has anti-inflammatory properties which treat swelling.
Soak two teabags in ice for a few minutes then cover your eyes with them for 15-20 minutes.
5. Cucumber Slices
I always doubted if this actually works, but hey, it does. Cucumber contains caffeic acid that restricts blood vessels and vitamin C which soothe irritated skin.
Put your cucumber in the fridge for a few minutes to get it nice and cold then get two slices of the cold cucumber and place on your eye area. Leave it on for as long as you want, as long as you don’t fall asleep with it on!
