The film chronicled Anwar's historical tenure as Finance Minister from 1991 to 1998, as well as his Reformasi campaign, which resulted in his imprisonment that very year.

Anwar Ibrahim's post-election victory will not be the focus of this film, according to producer Zukiflee Anwar Haque or better known as Zunar, and instead it will be depicting Anwar Ibrahim's earlier days in politics.

This film will also depict the complete investigation report during the period in which he was jailed and mercilessly tortured.

As for the cast, Farid Kamil plays Anwar in the movie, which is directed by Indonesian actress Viva Westi. Hasnul Rahmat plays the former prime minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, while Indonesian actress Acha Septriasa plays Anwar's wife Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
