Twitter user @eryazmi or Mohamad Heiry uploaded a short video exposing his neighbour, who was caught repeatedly hitting his cat with the wooden end of a broomstick. The neighbour then continued to drag the cat inside, punching and slamming him against the floor, which is not shown in the video. Cries of distress and pain coming from the cat was clear throughout the whole recording.

According to Heiry, his neighbour, who owns at least two cats, has been abusing the felines on a daily basis and his cats would often flee to his house for protection. Prior to posting the video on Twitter, Heiry had already lodged a police report against his neighbour.

Heiry has also included his neighbour's address since some have enquired about possibly adopting the abused cats that are currently under his neighbour's care, or lack thereof. His latest tweet informs that the Malaysian Department of Veterinary Services has since arrived at the scene.
