Sabrina Bahsoon, also known as 'Tube Girl' on TikTok, has extended her influence beyond viral dance videos on the London Tube and local MRTs. The Malaysian-born internet sensation has collaborated with the Geutanyoe Foundation, an NGO, to establish The Sabrina Bahsoons Fund for Palestinian Children's Education.
This fund aims to support the education of 14 Palestinian children, aged six to 16, who are living as refugees in Malaysia. The sponsorship covers their studies at a private school in Kuala Lumpur. Expressing gratitude, the Geutanyoe Foundation posted on Facebook, stating, "We at Geutanyoe Malaysia are immensely grateful to Sabrina Bahsoon for her generous support through the Sabrina Bahsoons Fund for Palestinian Children Education.
Her commitment has opened doors for 14 Palestinian children, providing them with quality education amidst the challenging backdrop of their homeland, having fled Gaza and the West Bank to Malaysia. This contribution not only nurtures young minds but also serves as a haven for them in the context of protracted displacement.
"Together, this coordinated effort strengthens our resolve to empower the Palestinian community through education."
Sabrina's father, Khalid Bahsoon, expressed pride in her initiative, describing it as "very admirable" and emphasizing the importance of supporting Palestinian children in need.
