A paint processing factory was engulfed in flames in the Meru Industrial Park near here earlier this morning. Assistant Director of Operations for the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, Ahmad Mukhlis Makhtar, stated that they received an emergency call at 6:34 a.m.
He mentioned that a team of 39 officers and personnel, along with vehicles from eight Fire and Rescue Stations (BBP), including BBP Kapar, BBP North Klang, and BBP Andalas, rushed to the scene to control the fire upon receiving the emergency call.

"The firefighting operation also involved teams from BBP Pelabuhan Klang, BBP Kota Raja, BBP Shah Alam, BBP Bukit Jelutong, and BBP Rawang. The fire involved two paint processing factory buildings. When we arrived, the fire was raging, and a significant portion of the buildings was already engulfed in flames," he said in a statement here today.
Ahmad Mukhlis stated that there were no casualties or injuries reported, and the cause of the incident and the extent of the damage are still under investigation.
