Who else almost shed a tear when watching our fellow Malaysians in Perlis dining in like kings at the local restaurant? If you did, then samesies! We were so jealous looking at them happily going out to eat at the restaurants. It has been so long ago for us until we started to feel like dining is a part of history and not part of the future.
Then came Sunday, the 8th of August 2021, our Prime Minister announced that fully vaccinated individuals in states that are in Phase 2 are now allowed to dine-in. Yes, we have to admit it, we cried like a baby with tears of joy. Finally, some hope at the end of a never-ending tunnel.
So, if you are looking for a place to eat in Penang and craving some pizza, here are some of the must-visit pizza places:
1. US Pizza
Yes, everyone probably already knows about US Pizza but heyy, we had to include them on the list because they deserve it! They have a huge variety of pizzas to choose from and their most famous dish, that everyone should definitely try, the CHEESE BOAT.
They are located all around Penang, so just google the nearest one and hop on over but make sure you really pig-out and get as many varieties as you can eat because they all taste so good!
Address: US Pizza Malaysia - Summerton (Near Queensbay) 110-01-12 SUMMERTON 11900 Penang, Malaysia
Check out their never-ending menu here!
2. Otto Pizza Penang
Love Lane Penang is the most happening place in Penang. They have bars, restaurants and cafes, but the best things about it is that is it located nearby the famous pizza place called Otto Pizza.
They serve authentic Italian Pizza made out of a special mix of flours imported from all the way from Italy. Well how much more authentic can it get?
Address: Otto Pizza, 7, Lorong Seckchuan, George Town, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang

3. Barista Café & Casa de Pizzeria
Want to go out on a fancy date after being locked away from each other for months but you kinda just want to have something simple like pizza? Don’t worry boo, we got you.
This café makes you feel like you’ve been transported to Italy and you’re having a romantic date at one of the cafes there with their cute little tables with flannel tablecloths. They even have delicious Italian pizzas and also Italian inspired drinks!
Address: 92, Church St, Georgetown, 10200 George Town, Penang
Open from 11AM to 11PM every day except for Mondays.
4. The Wood Fire Pizza
We said dine-in, but this shop doesn’t really offer dine-in services. Sorry! But you can drive your car over and order yourself a pizza which will be ready after a long time so maybe go do your groceries and run some errands before coming to get it.
The reason why it takes so long is because the bake your pizza in an actual wood fire oven. This makes the dough extra soft and fluffy. Oh, and the best part is that they are not stingy with the cheese. When collecting your pizza, notice how heavy the box is, that’s because of the cheese!
Everything is done by an Aunty and Uncle in their own home! #SapotLokal. That’s why la no dine-in, they aren’t going to let you eat pizza in their living room la.
Address: 171-J, Jalan Argyll, 10450 George Town, Pulau Pinang
Open from 5 to 10PM every day.
If you’re too lazy t drive over and place your order, then you can just call them at : 012-451 2354
5. Shen Fu Cafe
You want to #SapotLokal? Here’s another pizza place for you to support that’s located in the Shen Fu Food Court at Tanjung Tokong. The best part about having pizza at a hawker centre is that you get to also enjoy all the local food and snacks there too.
So, while you’re slurping down your curry mee, get yourself a bacon pizza or maybe a pepperoni pizza to satisfy your pizza cravings as well.
Address: Jalan Tanjong Tokong, Seri Tanjung Pinang, 10470 Tanjung Tokong, Pulau Pinang
Open from 5 to 10PM every day.
