A recent TikTok post by a Malaysian doctor has gone viral after she shared an unpleasant experience while dining at a mamak restaurant in Johor Bahru. Dr Kho, known as @khomathedevarajan on TikTok, recounted the incident involving a shocking discovery in her meal.

According to her post, Dr Kho had ordered a plate of fried instant noodles (commonly known as maggi goreng) which she shared with a colleague. However, their meal took a disturbing turn when she spotted a caterpillar on the plate.

What made the situation even more alarming was that Dr Kho had already eaten half of the dish before noticing the insect. She described the caterpillar as being approximately 3 centimeters in length.

"The restaurant gave extra protein for free, trauma edition maggi goreng," she wrote humorously, despite the gross encounter.

Taking the opportunity to raise awareness, Dr Kho advised others to always inspect their food before eating, especially when dining out.

"I found a caterpillar in my maggi. So for those of you planning to go eat there, be a little careful. Check what's in your food first before eating," she cautioned.
