In recent tech news, Instagram launces back to back updates with new features for their users!

Though it may seem exciting, are they here to stay? 

Here are the new features we are looking at:

1. Carousel post up to 20 slides

  
Instagram is increasing the maximum amount of images and videos that can be included in a single grid post - up to 20 images or videos can now be included in a single carousel post. Previously, users could include up to ten photos or videos  (sometimes known as a "photo dump") in each carousel post.

2. Adding music to your profile

  
This one is for all my MySpace girlies. Instagram gives you the option to input your current favorite song on your profile, allowing you to showcase your musical preferences to followers.

3. Comments In Stories

  
Instagram users now have an additional method to interact and engage with friends and other profiles thanks to this new feature. However, comments are accessible to other followers, unlike story replies that send direct messages (DMs). For this feature, only some users will be able to see comments on Stories; these users are the poster's followers. 

There is a catch, though, to being able to comment. The only people who can leave a comment are those who the user follows back, or mutual followers. This restriction seeks to create a more private and secure environment for conversations by lowering the possibility of trolling or offensive remarks.
