Earlier today, an aircraft was seen skidding off the runway at the Subang Airport after one of its landing gears failed to extend. It is a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Beechcraft Super King Air B200T.
In a statement posted at 4pm on its official Facebook page, RMAF stated that the aircraft made an emergency landing at around 1pm. There were four crew members onboard.
"All crew members are safe," RMAF said, adding that it will be investigating the incident.
Following the incident, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) temporarily closed the runway at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport
In a statement, Malaysia Airports said the aviation authority closed the runway for three hours.
We wish to inform that CAAM has issued a notice for temporary closure of the runway at Subang Airport from 1.15pm to 4.15pm. The runway is being closed to facilitate the removal procedure for a skidded aircraft. Glad to share that no one was injured during the incident.
