The police are currently investigating an incident involving a female driver who collided with multiple vehicles while exiting a parking lot along Jalan Padang towards Jalan Bukit Kapar 1 near Klang, Selangor, on Wednesday. Assistant Commissioner S Vijaya Rao, the North Klang District Police Chief, disclosed that the incident, which occurred around 7:30 PM on Wednesday, was captured by members of the public and circulated on social media.
According to Assistant Commissioner Vijaya Rao, preliminary investigations indicate that the incident involved a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old woman who purportedly pressed the accelerator pedal while manoeuvring out of the parking space. Subsequently, she collided with a vehicle in front of her. In a state of panic, she then shifted into reverse gear, resulting in collisions with two additional vehicles.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Assistant Commissioner Vijaya Rao highlighted that investigations into the matter are being conducted under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. He urged members of the public with any pertinent information regarding the incident to step forward to any nearby police station or contact Assistant Investigating Officer Sergeant Low Wee Hong at 017-6747946.
