Port Dickson: Two men were arrested for allegedly being involved in a case of impersonating a policeman and kidnapping a man at a house in Springhill Town, Lukut, as well as killing him.

Port Dickson District Police Chief Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed said they received a report of the incident from the victim's 38 -year-old wife at 7.14 am on November 13.

“Police received a complaint from the victim’s wife who claimed her husband was abducted while at her home in Springhill Township.

"The victim's wife claimed that on the same day at 5.40 am, while sleeping in the living room of the house with the victim and children, they heard the house bell ringing and she saw there was a white van with the words 'Police' written in front of the gate," he said in a statement.

According to him, the suspects were wearing a yellow vest and they introduced themselves as police officers then ordered the victim to open the door of the house.

 "The victim's wife asked them what the purpose of the visit was and from which Police Station were they from but was not answered it instead caused the suspects to act aggressively and pull the door grille until it was broken off.

"After successfully entering the house, the victim’s wife was told that the arrival was for the investigation of the robbery case and asked the woman to remove the jewellery that are the result of her husband’s activities," he said.

According to her, the victim was then instructed to follow them by boarding a van.

She said the victim refused which caused the suspect to start beating the victim's husband before dragging him into the van.

"In this incident, the suspect did not manage to take any jewellery, but the victim was kidnapped.

"The security guard who is also a Nepalese man was then left by the suspect in front of the victim's house with his hands tied," he said.

Aidi Sham said, at 4.30 pm the same day, the police were informed that the victim's husband was already at Selayang Hospital, Selangor.

"The victim was confirmed dead at 9.45am by the Medical Officer of the Emergency and Trauma Department of Selayang Hospital.

"Acting on information, a team of officers and members of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) of the Negeri Sembilan Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Port Dickson District Police Headquarters (IPD) assisted by the Gombak IPD raided a house at Taman Pusat Kepong , Kuala Lumpur and managed to arrest a man," he said.

According to him, they also detained and confiscated six mobile phones of various brands, two shirts, two pants, two pairs of shoes, a jacket, a Honda City car and a white van in Taman Prima Selayang.

“The 44-year-old male suspect has 14 previous criminal records, while another 43 -year -old suspect has two previous criminal records and one drug record.

"Both suspects are now remanded until November 23 (today) to assist in the investigation," he said.

According to Aidi Sham, the autopsy held on November 15 found that the victim's death was due to a hard blow to the head.

"The motive for the incident is believed to be revenge and the police are still tracking down several suspects who are suspected to be involved in this case," he said.
