#4 Delegation of house work
When it comes to childcare and house work, Malaysian men often actively participate and help their wives.
In Japan, men often come home and sit in front of the TV after work, leaving all the house work and childcare to the wives.

In Japan, the husbands rarely follow pregnant wives to their doctor's appointments. It is common to see women go in there alone.
Malaysian husbands on the other hand don't think that pregnancy is only related to the woman, however they believe it is something both should be involved in. They would participate in every aspect of the pregnancy that time and ability allows.
