Looks like Netflix users is putting their subscribers on extreme mode with their new regulations.
Netflix will begin their crackdown on password-sharing anytime in a matter of months so if you're the target audience, you may expect to have your account blocked soon.
UNLESS:
To verify your account, you'll need to have all your devices that are associated with your Netflix account to check-in on your home network once every 31 days.
What does this mean?
In order to verify their devices, family members who don't necessarily live together but share a Netflix account would need to visit their homes at least once every month to just for that purpose. If you're watching Netflix solely through a TV in a different location than your home network, then that's just too bad.
Your account will also be disabled if a sign-in attempt is made from a device that is not in the primary location or if a different location repeatedly accesses it.
How does it work?
Netflix will send a temporary verification code to either your email address or phone number which you'll need in order to verify your location. Following verification, the travelling member is permitted to watch Netflix for a week at a time.
For now, the Netflix crackdown will be done in several countries first before it is implemented worldwide.
