After numerous police reports had been lodged against Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin recently regarding controversial remarks during a speech at a Nenggiri by-election campaign, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has now confirmed that the former Prime Minister will be charged tomorrow in regard to the incident.
The speech, which allegedly touched on the 3R's (race, religion & royalty) caused quite a stir when videos of the speech made its rounds on social media, causing not only the public, but also members of parliament, calling for the former PM to be held accountable for his actions and for the police force to take action against such negligence.

Speaking on the matter, IGP Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed that the Attorney Generals Chambers (AGC) has now placed an order for Muhyiddin to be charged at the Gua Musang Sessions Court.
"The charge will be made under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act" he said.
Razarudin also stated that statements had already been taken from Muhyiddin and that 66 witnesses have been called to further assist in the investigation.
It is now believed that from the Federal Courts e-filing system, that the hearing of the case is scheduled for 9am tomorrow the 27th of August 2024 and will be heard before Judge Nik Mohd Tarmizie Nik Mohd Shukri.
